DVC is most commonly purchased as a complete system - including software and your choice of server size. These items can also be purchased separately, and there are a number of possible options and configurations. Here are our most popular packages:

DVC PACKAGES

All DVC Systems offer:

A hardware and software package that the school owns, with NO ON-GOING or ANNUAL FEES

The detail for the various DVC packages is summarised below:

OPTION 1: DVC Lite

DVC Lite is the latest version that continues to have more features than any comparable product, but has been stripped of some of its non-essential functions.

DVC Lite offers:

4TB Server
Complete capture / streaming software pack (Unlimited Site License - Player, Admin)
3 simultaneous recordings (Foxtel, free-to-air, DVD/VHS etc)
100 streams for playback
Camera & signage software as upgrades when ready

OPTION 2: DVC

All of the features of DVC Lite, but with a more powerful engine. DVC offers more simultaneous recordings, more streams for playback, greater choice in server sizes and more redundancy.

DVC offers:

5TB, 9TB or 17TB Servers
Complete capture / streaming software pack (Unlimited Site License - Player, Admin)
5 simultaneous recordings (Foxtel, free-to-air, DVD/VHS etc)
256 streams for playback
Camera & Signage software as upgrades when ready

OPTION 3: DVC Plus

The complete DVC software suite, including Capture / Streaming, Digital Signage and Camera Management.

DVC Ultimate offers all of the features of DVC, plus:

Digital signage capability for easy set up of a school noticeboard system
Camera management capability for recording or streaming from any camera on campus.

Finance Options

Remember ALL schools are pre-approved for leasing DVC through Finlease, with a simple one page application form being all that is required to move forward. This means that like other systems you can spread your payments over time, but unlike other systems, our payments will be for a set period of time, and the school will own the system outright upon completion of the agreement.

About DVC Software

Includes: Storage server module, administration module & capture module. This is a site licence for all software for all markets, no matter how many players or copies of administrator etc customer requires now or in future. There are no ongoing fees for this software.

About DVC Servers

Capture, edit, store, distribute, manage... all from the single combination server. The DVC servers are designed to extremely high specifications which allow the vast amounts of video through put necessary. These servers are set up as RAID 5 configuration which provides additional reliability / integrity as if a drive should fail, the built in redundancy ensures that no data is lost. RAID1 (drive mirroring) configuration can be supplied upon request.

Additional items

Installation and staff training - $2490.00

All networking and all associated network equipment including network switches, routers, hubs and cabling. Liaison with the IT department and network officer for configuration with the network will also be required.

Payment Options

DVC is available for outright purchase, or via a number of finance options. Payment from as little as $140/week over 5 years

DVC Suggested Options

The Source Controller

Adding a Source Controller offers the ability to connect local video devices to the server (e.g. DVD/VCR, Foxtel) which can then be used to transfer material to the hard drive, or to stream copyright protected material.

Digital Signage Components

The system will provide digital signage capabilities to all computers on the network straight out of the box. However, should you wish to set up designated messaging displays, a set top box will be required for each individual display. There are 3 models available, including:

1. Media Controller Micro - displays all incoming signals on the display
2. Media Controller Lite - displays all incoming signals on the display plus offers control of the display i.e the ability to send commands to it from an Admin PC, and
3. Media Controller - displays all incoming signals on the display plus offers control of the display as well as inbuilt amplifiers to offer additional sound reinforcement.
