AV facilities for new corporate head office, featuring 2 linked seminar rooms plus a stand alone meeting room

Customer's requirements

Moving to new premises in Sydney's CBD offered Rogen the opportunity to plan the exact AV facilities required to make their Seminar Rooms a success. The key necessity was the ability to easily operate the Seminar Rooms as 2 individual spaces or one large room

Our solution

Utilising the CommBox control equipment and Joey Control Panels allowed the sophistication to link the rooms as required whilst still delivering the total project within the specified budget.

Customer Feedback

"We undertook to make our new training facilities world class in terms of technology and ease of use. We also had a very tight budget to work with. Command Integration delivered within our budget and were able to meet our need in creating our world class training facility. The technology is inconspicous and yet very powerful. We also had a challenge where we had 2 rooms which were sometimes opened up to create one large training space. Command Integration successfully set up our system so that we can "join" the technology in the 2 rooms together, creating a single system. Overall we have been very happy with our new training facilities and the service and professionalism of Command Integration "

Provide video distribution from central AV room to all Coaches offices, Learning Centre, Meeting Rooms and Players Lounge, coupled with stand alone video projection & room control systems in the Learning Centre, Players Lounge and Boardroom.

Customer's requirements

Coaching staff needed to be able to review footage from the extensive and growing library of VHS tapes, DVDs and digitally stored footage, both locally in their individual offices, and for review in group situations in areas such as the Learning Centre, Match Committee Room or Boardroom. The larger facilities not only needed to access the media library, they also needed large screen presentation technology for group viewing and analysis.

Our solution

Whilst the digitally stored files could simply be viewed across the computer network, how would the library of analogue material best be widely viewed? We installed a Video Commander system, which allowed for 8 x DVD/VCRs and DVD Recorders to be installed in the AV Control Room, with coaches having the ability to control playback of those machines to local monitors within each office. Further, the larger rooms were set up with full video projection and room control equipment, all operated by user-friendly LCD control panels.

Customer Feedback

"When we started this project, I had a fair idea of what we wanted to achieve, but wasn't clear on how it would be delivered. The system designed by Command Integration has allowed us to do much more than I had expected....we're really happy, and it has exceeded our expectations."

Improvements to Council Chambers PA system

Customer's requirements

The public address system (installed by others) utilised for Council Meetings was poorly designed and installed. Both Councillors and public attendees had to strain to audibly understand meetings held within the chambers. If the loudspeakers were set to a level which was acceptable, further problems occurred when more than one Councillor used their desktop microphones, which sent the whole system into feedback.

Our solution

The solution to rectify these issues was a two-part process:

  1. Relocate and add new speakers to the venue. Zone the system into two areas - 1: COUNCIL 2: PUBLIC
  2. Add an audio processor to equalize and add dynamics to the space.

The council area required two rows of ceiling speakers, whilst the public gallery area was better suited to small "box style" surface mount speakers mounted from the ceiling. These were configured in a single line - 6 in total. We also added a new Peavey Digitool 8x8 matrix digital processor to control all inputs and outputs.

Customer Feedback

"Command Integration were a breeze to work with. After an initial meeting where we explained the problems we were having, they fully scoped the work required, the time it would take and all costs. The job was completed ahead of time and all equipment was installed professionally and with a minimum of mess. Post install configuration was completed and we were fully trained in operating the equipment. Bottom line for me is that I haven't had a complaint concerning the sound system since it was upgraded. The councillors can be heard, there's no feedback and the system is now reliable."

Conference Room Video Projection and Room Control System

Customer's requirements

To install an easy to use projection system incorporating a document camera suitable for viewing medical images

Our solution

Working closely with our suppliers, CI sourced the Lumens CL500 ceiling mounted, IP addressable document camera for this room, along with a quality Sanyo video projector, custom timber lectern and CommBox control equipment. This was the first installation of the Lumens CL500 anywhere in the world, and it has proven to be ideal for the application. The X-Rays and scans are clearly displayed, and it's built in capture facility allows the easy capture and download facility of images displayed.

Customer Feedback

"I am happy to confirm that of the tenderers we had you were not only the cheapest but the most helpful, delivering a product tailored to our requirements and finding the ideal camera for our purposes. Your sales staff has always been available for advice before, during and after the installation. Minor adjustments we have required after installation of this new technology have been carried out promptly and without hesitation by Command Integration. I cannot fault the service provided and have been recommending your company without hesitation to colleagues looking for a similar system."

Integrated Audio Visual facilities for the APEC Task Force Command Centre.

Customer's requirements

Working under a very tight deadline, the NSW Fire Brigade needed their new city Situation Room delivered in time for the APEC Meeting in September, 2007. The new room was in a Heritage Listed Building, and required video projection, video conferencing, interactive whiteboard and room control equipment, along with furniture to house it in.

Our solution

Working closely with our joiner, we delivered a new 2 bay timber lectern to house all equipment, and custom timber cable skirting to tie in with the heritage requirements. The 6" colour LCD control panel offers control of all inputs, including a Digital TV Receiver, DVD / VCR and Video Conferencing equipment. The 77" TeamBoard offers the convergence point, where all technologies can be displayed, controlled and manipulated.

Customer Feedback

"Just a note to let you know how much I appreciated the very professional installation of the equipment for the Operations Command Situation Room at the City of Sydney Fire Station. I can't tell you how impressed I was with the speed and expertise and high standard IT equipment that your crew installed, with an extremely tight deadline that faced us leading up to APEC.

The setup provides us with everything we need to keep on top of current and emerging issues. As you would understand the ability to monitor and gather intelligence for our campaign operations is essential to the proper management of Major Emergency Incidents, your system does this admirably as well as providing lecture and learning tools par excellence. Many thanks and well done to Command Integration."
